Which personal data we collect and why

By default, we do not collect personal data about visitors. We only collect the data displayed on the User Profile screen from registered users. 

AstrosFood collects only the personal data voluntarily provided by you, our online visitors, so that we can satisfy your requests, provide you with information about our services and serve you in an optimal way.

The personal data that will be requested for your optional registration as a member of Astros food are the following:

Your e-mail, to communicate with you and to keep you informed about news of Astros food. The E-mail must be real and belong to you in order to be able to make a Certification. 

The security code (password). The password is personal to you and you can change it whenever you wish. In any case, you will need to memorize it in order to be able to log in later.

A Presentation Name. This is the name under which you will appear on Astros food, in case you write comments or reviews on any partner restaurant or cafe you want. 

As a member of Astros food you have the right to make comments that appear publicly with the approval of the system administrator.

In case you wish to unsubscribe from Astros food, you will send us the relevant unsubscribe request by e-mail (send it to support@astrosfood.gr) or through the contact form on the page Contact. 

You can follow the same procedure if you want to delete a comment.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data displayed in the comment form, as well as the visitor's IP address and browser user string to help detect spam.

An anonymized string generated from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The privacy policy of the Gravatar service is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is publicly visible within your comment.

Users understand and agree that they have the following obligations regarding the content of comments they post on the site:

The photos inside each restaurant or cafe have been provided to us by the shops themselves (at their own risk) and we bear no responsibility for their intellectual property.

If you leave a comment on our website, we save your name and email address. These are for your convenience so you don't have to re-enter your details when leaving another comment.

If you visit the login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
